What is an UPS and where is it normally used?
UPS stands for Uninterrupted Power Supply and is used for two primary purposes – Protecting computers and other sensitive loads from damage or loss of data caused by Line (Mains) power disturbances, and secondly to provide back-up power to critical loads when the primary power goes down.
